Come
As You Are
Vulnerability
is a very receptive place. When shame, guilt and fear escape
their hiding places, they head straight for the heart. This
is spiritual grace; dark nights of the soul must be exposed
to the light in order to heal and to let things grow. It is
life's way. When there is no place left to run and no place
left to hide, one is given the opportunity to dismantle the
brick wall of misfortune and to enter the terra firma of spiritual
ground. Vulnerability allows one to open up a passage so that
the past may slip out of memory and let consciousness take its
place. One is enabled to jump back into life, inspired and happy.
As new lessons appear, Divine principles will intervene with
their gentle and patient touch, teaching us the ways we should
go. Lessons are not hard in the spiritual life. They bring a
continuous supply of truth, enabling us to welcome the pearls
of great price that accompany them. One comes to regard any
difficulty as an opportunity to have more revealed. The fallacy
of super human power falls away, leaving only absolute discernment
of the one power, the only power that exists. I am that I am
...your God. The Lord will not forsake you but you must knock
on His door and enter wholeheartedly. Your vulnerability, that
which you dread the most, is that which will serve as the leavening
agent for your transformation. It is not a one time change.
The healing will be utter and complete and for all time. Faith
must have her perfect work just as patience must have hers and
you are the proving grounds through whom the Lord will work.
Transformation is the subject of your being. You will be transformed
from where you are now, the human condition, to the everlasting
condition of spirit, which you are always. Upon the ascending
steps of the spiritual ladder, you will rise from illusion to
the spiritual sight of your own divine nature. Vulnerability
is the first step of the ladder. Come as you are... Wherever
this moment finds you and whatever you are now thinking, be
still. You are entering divine time.
